Ashton's Birthday at Disneyland!

There are 2 places that Ashton has continuously asked to visit, Disneyland and the beach. Thanks to a good tax refund and some great travel deals we were able to surprise him with both for his 4th birthday. We packed up and left on Monday morning and told him we were heading to the beach. We spent Monday afternoon at Huntington Beach and loved every minute of it. Tuesday the 14th was his 4th Birthday and we told him we had a big surprise that day. While traveling on the shuttle to Disneyland we let it out of the bag and were pleased with his very excited confusion. It wasn't until we were inside the park and he saw the castle that it all clicked. Wednesday afternoon we came home with tons of pictures and  many memories that will be treasured forever.

Easter 2009

We have church so early in the morning that we decided we would have the Easter Bunny come while we were at church. It was a flawless idea except we didn't account for the fact that Reagan usually passes out on the way home. When we pulled up to the house Reagan was dead to the world and stayed that way even after bringing her in the house. So this is how she reacted to her Easter basket.
Ashton was wide awake and thrilled to get a basket full of goodies.
Once Reagan peeked open her eyes and saw candy she was happy to be awake. Her are our two beautiful children in their Easter outfits with their baskets.
Not a convincing smile but cute none the less.
Oh the sugar is kicking in.
It was a great Easter weekend and we truly enjoyed the season. We were able to go as a family to the Mesa Easter pageant and it really set the tone. Though Reagan was all over the place, Ashton was very intrigued and soaked up alot of  what was being taught. It really gave us the opportunity to teach him what Easter was about and focus on the Death and Resurrection of our Savior. It was so much about Him that baskets weren't even a thought until the day before and even Ashton wasn't ever sure what a basket of candy had to do with Jesus' Day. I just hope we can make the spirit of Christmas more like the spirit of Easter was.

More Easter Festivites

The day before Easter we had a get together at our house with Dustin's family. The weather was great and we enjoyed an outdoor egg hunt.

Here are most of the grandkids. 2 of Shiloh's kids were with their dad for the weekend.
We also used this as an opprtunity to celebrate Ashton's upcoming birthday.
And Reagan used the diversion as a a chance to eat chocolate under the radar!

Weight Loss Challenge

Dustin and I are well aware that we are not the ultimate examples of fitness. The 2nd half of 2008 was a very stressful time for us and then we added the holidays and all the goodies! After things calmed down a bit we looked at ourselves and knew things had to change.

We decided to go on a doctor supervised diet call the "HCG Diet". The results have been phenomenal! In 40 days Dustin has lost 20 lbs and I have lost 28 lbs. Basically it is 500 calories a day and daily HCG hormone injections that tell your body to use its own fat instead of storing it. It is a very detailed diet so I won't go into anymore but here is a publishing from the creator of this weight loss method. http://www.hcgdietinfo.com/Dr-ATW-Simeons-Pounds-andInches.htm

Read all you want but details on the diet starts about 1/3 of the way down. This diet is all over the place and many doctors in the Valley do it. We went to a doctor in St George because it was cheaper and we had friends that had gone there and seen great results.

Dustin at 260.4
Dustin at 240.0
I shouldn't even be showing this picture because I'm so fluffy. This camera definately added 10 lbs...on top of the many other extra pounds. Welcome to the embarrassing world of 167.8.
Strutting my stuff at 139.4
This is a whole new way of life for us and we will continue to change and shape our bodies into something we can be proud of.

Easter with the Workman's

Today we celebrated Easter with my side of the family. My wonderful mom decorated eggs with all the grandkids and hid them all in the yard. Here is Ashton so excited that he continues to ignore the fact that he has to go to the bathroom.
So out we all went and Reagan got the concept real fast.
Ashton with Uncle Bryan and a bag full of eggs.
Dustin was helping Reagan and loving it!
The 3 most important people in my life.

And me posing because I felt like it!
It was a great day and a great way to celebrate our family, Savior and this Easter season.

Cute moments

Well after a delicious Nutella sandwich Reagan was happy as a clam and ready for a bath. I just love her goofy grin and the fact that you can see her cute little butt in the mirror.

I got her all cleaned up and out of the bath but apparently she wasn't done because right back in she went. I don't think it was as fun and she thought it would be.
