We have church so early in the morning that we decided we would have the Easter Bunny come while we were at church. It was a flawless idea except we didn't account for the fact that Reagan usually passes out on the way home. When we pulled up to the house Reagan was dead to the world and stayed that way even after bringing her in the house. So this is how she reacted to her Easter basket.
Ashton was wide awake and thrilled to get a basket full of goodies.
Once Reagan peeked open her eyes and saw candy she was happy to be awake. Her are our two beautiful children in their Easter outfits with their baskets.
Not a convincing smile but cute none the less.
Oh the sugar is kicking in.
It was a great Easter weekend and we truly enjoyed the season. We were able to go as a family to the Mesa Easter pageant and it really set the tone. Though Reagan was all over the place, Ashton was very intrigued and soaked up alot of what was being taught. It really gave us the opportunity to teach him what Easter was about and focus on the Death and Resurrection of our Savior. It was so much about Him that baskets weren't even a thought until the day before and even Ashton wasn't ever sure what a basket of candy had to do with Jesus' Day. I just hope we can make the spirit of Christmas more like the spirit of Easter was.
